The show rolled on as scheduled without any snags, not a single oil down the entire event. The fastest speeds for most people were during the first passes, with the fastest speed belonging to the Texas Miler Karl "Entropy" Gunter with a blistering 204mph shakedown pass right off the trailer... powered by good ol' fashioned Motown Muscle on his 1427cc ZX-12R Uber-Stroker.

It didn't take long for the light 4-5mph crosswind to develop into a significant 7-10mph crosswind with the clouds rolling in dropping air pressure. Riders reported a loss of approx. 3-4mph between the early morning conditions and the rest of the event.

Sal and the rest of the Ace Performance crew shifted into high gear in the pits getting the cooling issues sorted out. By the time they got it to the start line, the wind sock was pointing straight out with the 7-10mph crosswind. Despite the deteriorating conditions, Sal was able to bump up the Fast Pass with a 209mph shakedown pass right off the operating room table.

Immediately, the Ace Performance crew got to work on the 1287cc ZX-12R back in the pits to make a few dial-in adjustments. A couple passes later, the hammer was layed down with utmost authority as Sal "The Ice Man" Spatafora screemed through the lights at 211mph, breaking the previous track record of 206mph, set by himself on Orlando's Stage 2 Hayabusa at Mile Marker-1's innaugural event last October.
