They say big things come in small packages. This couldn't be more true with the TLN Motorsports / ACE PERFORMANCE Stage 2 Kawasaki ZX-6RR Ninja. Starting life as a 599cc
Factory Race version of the normal ZX-6R (636cc), this middleweight Ninja went through a complete "Works" transformation.
Displacement was bumped up via a 2mm overbore piston kit, putting it at a stout 636cc's. The
cylinder head recieved the full treatment with a Stage 2 port and chamber job to allow the now larger engine to breathe. Even
the bodywork was swapped out for a fiberglass race version, to reduce weight by eliminating the headlights.
Along with the aerodynamic modifications and electronics, the bike was regeared taller for speeds
that are almost exclusively for Hayabusa's and ZX-14's. Make no mistake, this little Ninja packs a BIG punch! With TLN Motorsports Owner/Rider Greg Neal in the saddle, a speed of 181.718mph was
achieved in Maxton, North Carolina at the ECTA Land Speed Trials, making it the World's Fastest Naturally Aspirated 650cc Class Motorcycle in the Standing Mile and the First
"600" to Break the 180mph Barrier on motor. Adding to that, he also won the 2009 SuperStreetbike Magazine 600cc Shootout, taking home the coveted SuperStreetbike Jacket.
If that wasn't enough, Greg Neal took it to Loring, Maine to run the LTA Land Speed Trials and achieved a World Record Speed of 190.118mph in a Standing 1.5 Miles.
That's DEEP into Busa Territory folks.... with an engine less than half the size.
To date, the TLN Motorsports / ACE PERFORMANCE Stage 2 Kawasaki ZX-6RR holds a total of 32 Land Speed
Records between the ECTA and LTA, taking records in not only the 650cc classes, but the 750cc classes as well.
